Mijksenaar, wayfinding in the cloud

Recently, Pro Warehouse was selected to manage all ICT services at Mijksenaar. 2020 marks our 10-year business relationship. They use Pro Warehouse Support, and our system engineer Bart regularly visits their office.

Migration to the cloud

Mijksenaar provides wayfinding services. They focus on what they’re good at and have been doing so for the last 35 years. They have become the most experienced wayfinding organisation in the world, providing services used by millions of people every day. We have helped them transition to the cloud.

Pro Warehouse facilitated their migration to the cloud: the transition from a physical server in the office to an online working environment. The apps are available the moment a team member goes online.

Cloud application implementation and support

Cloud applications are also known as Software as a Service. We help implement the software and offer support. There is no need to purchase hardware for a server or to sign a contract for maintenance. This means that the costs are lower, and easier to manage and budget for.

We also provide Mijksenaar with patch management, which means we provide updates for MacOS as well as the cloud applications. Before we supply the software, we test its functionality to catch any potential bugs in the software. All workplaces at Mijksenaar are connected to Jamf Pro, and they also use Microsoft Office 365 and Dropbox Business. As soon as we have checked the software, the team members can update the apps themselves.

Collaborating in the cloud

Dropbox enables you to save all files to one location. They are easy to find and are securely synchronised to all devices. Dropbox was designed for collaboration. All team members in all locations have access to the same database and in combination with Microsoft Office 365, you can work on Excel- or Word files with your colleagues at the same time. Changes are saved automatically and you can see your colleague’s changes in real-time.
